Career History

Juli Peterson is a multi-state sales tax expert with 3-4 decades of experience managing the refund process for Clients in over 30 states.  Juli began her career at the Minnesota Department of Revenue where she worked in many different areas including sales tax auditing and managing national and department-wide IT projects.  Her key roles include leadership in the implementation of Minnesota’s first electronic filing and paying systems, the Multi State Tax Commission, and the national Streamlined sales tax initiative.

In the private sector and for ThreeFive, Juli’s focus has been on sales tax refunds including audit defense, managing sales tax return processes and systems, and managing system implementation after data is gathered during our 100% accounts payable review process.  Juli spent five years with ThreeFive before venturing out on her own, we are fortunate to have her back to lead our rapid growth multi-state sales and use tax vertical.

Juli received her undergraduate degree in Business Management from Northwestern University, St Paul, and Masters in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University.  In today’s digital age, sales and use tax is a hardship for most corporations, our problem-solutions approach requires gaining a key understanding of each system as we build the claim for refund.
